They are metal washers which are often placed under a nut or under the head of a bolt. This is to prevent the nut or bolt from loosening easily. A washer can also ensure that the paint on a product is not damaged. You don't want a freshly painted gas tank on your custom bike to be damaged by the tightening of a bolt or nut. The revet will stand still while you tighten the nut or bolt.
We supply the washers in stainless steel and galvanized steel. There are retaining washers with a small diameter but also with a large diameter. These washers are available for metric but also UNC and UNF threads.
Besides retaining washers, you will also find lock washers in this category. These lock washers provide an additional security for the nut or bolt. You place the lock washer between the nut and the washer. The ring eats itself a bit between the washer and the nut or bolt so the nut will not easily come loose.
